Santorini: Olive Oil and Tourism
“Olive Oil and Tourism” is the theme of the conference which will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at 5 pm, in the exhibition space of Vita Epsilon (Monolithos-Messaria, Santorini – airport entrance). The meeting is organized by the Association of Greek Olive Oil Standardization Industries (SEVITEL), admission is free and is addressed to catering entrepreneurs (restaurants, hotels, taverns), to all those involved in tourism, chefs, journalists, etc.
Olive oil, but of course tourism, are of a particular importance for our country, both economically and culturally. What is the presence of our national product, olive oil, in the catering world? Can olive oil play the role of “ambassador” to millions of tourists who visit our country every year? Can olive oil be more user-friendly in the catering industry? What are the secrets to choosing the right olive oil?
These questions and more will be answered at the conference.
Speakers are the General Manager of SEVITEL George Oikonomou, member of SEVITEL and olive oil producer Apostolos Douzenis and the businessman, catering supplier Stratos Byzantinos.
